Flynn and I first met October 23rd, 2015 at my high school’s all-schools mixer during our freshman year, when we were just 14. The music was so loud that night, but somehow, we managed to exchange phone numbers before going our separate ways.

What followed were months of late-night FaceTime calls, getting to know each other in the sweetest and most genuine way. Very quickly, I realized that Flynn was the kindest, smartest, and most caring person I had ever met.

In February 2016, we decided to make it official—two kids who had no idea what “dating” really meant, but who loved being together and were truly best friends. This picture from March 2016 was the very first one we ever took together, and it still makes me smile to think about how it all began.

Now, 10 years later, we’re 24 and engaged to be married and our story has been filled with laughter, growth, and love. We know it was God’s hand guiding our path. Every step of our journey has been a blessing, and the sweetest part is knowing this is only the beginning of the forever He has planned for us.
